Manhunt for Cleveland Facebook Killing Suspect Ends When He Fatally Shoots Himself

The suspected shooter, Steve Stephens, fatally shot himself after a brief pursuit by Pennsylvania State Police officers on Tuesday, ending a two-day nationwide manhunt, police said.

Police believe Stephens might have left the state of Ohio.

WICU reports that Stephens went to a McDonald's drive-thru and ordered chicken nuggets and french fries.

The man known as the Facebook killer, Steve Stephens, died Tuesday morning of a self-inflicted gunshot wound in Erie County, Penn.

Stephens boasted of murdering 15 people, but police in OH - where he killed Robert Godwin on Sunday - are yet to confirm any further killings.

As the auto was spinning out of control, Stephens shot and killed himself.

Stephens was the focal point of a almost two-day nationwide manhunt after shooting and killing 74-year-old Robert Godwin about 2 p.m. on Easter Sunday, police said.

Stephens s mother told CNN she called him on Sunday after learning about the video, and he had told her he was shooting people because he was "mad with his girlfriend".

Facebook drew criticism for not removing the gruesome video until two hours after Stephens posted it.

An SIT will be formed to investigate the case. "This shows the big role that money plays in politics of Bengal, or entire India". CBI must continue this investigation fearlessly without any political influence.

Williams said Tuesday that it wasn't clear whether Stephens had any help while he was on the run or where he had been and that investigators will try to retrace he steps. Pennsylvania state troopers received a tip from a McDonald's employee in Erie, in far western Pennsylvania, approximately 100 miles east of Cleveland.

Despite Facebook's claims that they removed the video within 23 minutes of receiving the first report, a report was not filed until over an hour after the video was posted. Cleveland police said th.

'We have a lot more to do here.

Authorities say Stephens shot and killed himself after a brief police pursuit.

Godwin pleads with Stephens before he was shot, "I don't know anybody by that name".

Stephens, who had no prior criminal record, was not suspected in any other killings, Cleveland officials had said.

Stephens streamed video to his Facebook page showing a gun pointed at a man's head.

In the video of the shooting, Stephens told Godwin the name of his girlfriend and said, "She's the reason that this is about to happen to you".

Police later located him by a cellphone ping. The FBI had put him on its Most Wanted list.
