Nintendo Switch Sells 906000 Units In March 2017 For North America

We knew the Nintendo Switch was off to a good start, based on USA sales numbers from March NPD numbers, but now it appear that the young upstart console has broken Nintendo's expectations with more than 2.4 million units sold worldwide. Considering there have only been 906,000 Switches sold, that meant some bought more than one, probably the limited edition and a regular copy.

Breath of the Wild sold even better. Both of those announcements make up for the lack of any concrete Virtual Console info, which at this stage we should expect to hear more about at E3 ahead of the launch of Nintendo's premium online service.

Nintendo introduced a new console last month, and it was a big hit in the United States. The Nintendo Switch outsold both PS4, and Xbox One. Regardless, Breath of the Wild is now the fastest-selling Nintendo launch game of all time and the fastest-selling The Legend of Zelda game of all time. If the console can reach this goal, it will also reach half of Wii U sales during its lifetime (13.56 million units).

The Wii U sold roughly 400,000 in its first week and close to 890,000 units in its first six weeks, even though its 2012 launch landed in the more holiday-friendly month of November.

Pence praises Indonesia's moderate form of Islam
Other US companies involved in the deals include Greenbelt Resources, Halliburton, Honeywell International and Ormat Technologies. Jakarta also scrubbed JP Morgan from its list of primary bond dealers after what was deemed a negative research report .

Even Super Mario 64-one of only two games that launched with the Nintendo 64 in the USA in 1996-didn't outsell its own console hardware in its debut (The best numbers we could find suggest 300,000 Super Mario 64 cartridges sold for 350,000 Nintendo 64 consoles in the system's opening weekend). The game console manufacturer was proud to say that the console is one of the fastest-selling video game systems of all time.

Nintendo Switch has been the top selling console in North America throughout the month of March, according to official NPD Group data.

Breath of the Wild shifted 1.3 million units, 925,000 of which were on the Switch, and 460,000 on the Wii U. This is an impressive attach rate, over 100% in fact.
