Mainly dry next two days, best chance of rain comes Thursday

Shower chances return off-and-on for the next five days

A pedestrian stands with an umbrella on the sidewalk along State St. on Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2016 in Schenectady, N.Y. It's a good idea to allow for extra travel time for the rush hour too.

AccuWeather reports that while Tuesday is expected to be drier, and the weather service forecasting partly sunny skies with temperatures in the lower 70s, more rain is likely mid-week.

We'll have a few showers around for Sunday morning and Sunday afternoon looks dry.

Rain moves back in towards the evening commute.

The temperature is expected to rise into the high 50s during the day before making a slight drop overnight. Temperatures are warm and humid, in the upper 70s.

Unfortunately, Memorial Day weekend will be peppered with chances of showers throughout as well. Limited sunshine should allow temperatures to rise into the 70s.

While it won't rain every minute of every day, keep your umbrella close at hand until probably Friday morning. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. The low will be around 48, with a northwest wind of 6 to 9 miles per hour. However, across the Nebraska Panhandle on Friday, there could be a slightly higher threat for some strong storms, as there will be better instability and wind shear.

SATURDAY NIGHT: Mostly cloudy skies and a few rain showers linger, with an overnight low temperature of 65 degrees. Winds: N 5-10 miles per hour.

After a stormy day for parts of central Georgia, things should settle down some for the overnight. Winds will be fairly light and overall it will be a very comfortable day outdoors.

Wednesday: Chance of a morning shower.

The weekend will likely be dry on both Saturday and Sunday as a small area of high pressure builds in. Winds will be light from the northeast.

Today: Cloudy Skies. Rain (100%). Northwest wind 5 to 13 miles per hour. Heavy Rain Likely. Highs around 80.
