Huawei's Special Edition KFC Smartphone For China Is Finger Lickin' Good

Yes, it's a KFC phone | Advertising | Campaign Asia

"Between KFC and Huawei, one came from overseas had and settled its roots in China".

KFC opened its first restaurant in the country in Qianmen just a few minutes walk from Tiananmen Square in Beijing in November 1987, reports CNBC. Huawei really is teaming up with US -based KFC on a special edition of its Enjoy 7 Plus created to mark the fast food chain's 30 anniversary in China.

What's so special about this limited edition?

KFC and Huawei said the phone will ship with a price tag of 1,099 yuan, which translates to just under $162 and is the same price that the more powerful Enjoy 7 model is going for.

Xi Jinping wraps up Russian Federation visit, next stop Germany
This after 10,000 people marched earlier in the day, protesting the gathering that brings together the world's leaders. During his stay in Germany, Xi will also travel to Hamburg to attend the G20 summit.

Network of fast food restaurants KFC in cooperation with Huawei has introduced a limited edition version of the smartphone Enjoy 7 a portrait of Colonel Sanders. KFC launched an online store today called KFC Ltd.

Everybody loves KFC (well nearly everybody). The phone is decked out with a bright red back, similar to the red in KFC's logo, and below the rear fingerprint reader is an image of KFC founder Colonel Sanders and "1987", the year that KFC made its way to China. There's a 5-inch display, but with a rather disappointing 1280x720 resolution.

The device will come pre-loaded with a Chinese KFC app that lets users see offers and order food, as well as a new music app that allows KFC phone owners pick and choose the playlists at their local chicken shacks. It's relatively high-end, too, and comes with 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM and can support a 128GB Micro SD card. No, of course not-the fact that the phone is KFC branded is what holds a kind of mystical and curious appeal.
