Senate GOP Timeframe for Healthcare Vote: 'Several Weeks'

Polls have shown the majority of Americans are actually happy with the Affordable Care Act.

Editor: I'm gratified the healthcare debate is alive and well, splashed against the backdrop of the July 4 holiday-when we stand as one, as equals, celebrating accomplishments and values.

The current Republican plan will consolidate healthcare in large cities and force more rural citizens to travel long distances for basic healthcare.

Now that the Senate Republicans have unveiled their (lack of) health care bill, we can all see why it was crafted behind closed doors. If their children lose health care coverage, they will have to choose whether to bring their child to the doctor or to stay on top of their rent.

Most folks can't read the new health bill because it's written by lawyers and since only the well-educated can understand what it says, we'll have to trust what others are telling us.

Health care is an issue that is very sensitive to Americans' daily lives.

The plan is part of a long-term effort by this Republican Party to take away health care from those most in need while giving huge tax cuts for the richest among us. As far as I can tell, he has not explained when or how it got smarter, but one gathers there's only so much brilliance you can fit in a tweet.

Plus, the market hasn't exactly unfolded in Lowry's favour and a return to the Raptors seems inevitable at this point. Serge Ibaka has reportedly agreed to a three-year, $65 million contract to stay with the Toronto Raptors.

Those who came to the meeting to question the senator or raise concerns spoke to their personal experiences in dealing with the insurance system.

Health care, as Trump has noted, is complicated.

Republicans have called for a repeal of the Affordable Care Act - Obamacare - and have been working on a compromise that will persuade all 52 Republican senators to support the measure. The more I learn about it, the less I like. The rest would come from existing tax credits for people who buy coverage on their own, forcing many of those people to accept plans with even higher out-of-pocket costs ― or to drop coverage altogether. Rather than simply pointing out how the CBO numbers may not be totally accurate and hoping people listen, Republicans should speak to those voters who were harmed - most of whom were the voters who cast ballots to retain the Republican-controlled Senate and elected a president ready to sign Obamacare-ending legislation.

The BCRA would devastate access to care for low-income children, people with disabilities, and the elderly by making unprecedented cuts to Oklahoma's Medicaid program, known as SoonerCare.

Last week, the health care world was once again hit by a ransomware attack-with hits reported in Ukraine and the United States.

"There are those who view health care as a deeply personal and private matter and wanted to share their story accordingly", added Seat.
