FC Barcelona sues Neymar for $10m

FC Barcelona are set to sue Paris Saint-Germain star, Neymar for a breach of contract.

Earlier in the day, the Catalan club announced they were suing Neymar after alleging the Brazilian failed to fulfill his agreement with the team.

The La Liga giants said on Tuesday that they wanted Neymar to pay back the bonus for a contract in October 2016 that tied him to the club through 2021.

The amount is €8.5m in damages, plus an additional 10% in interest.

The 25-year old joined PSG in a world record fee of 222m euro (£200m) after PSG accepted to trigger his release clause.

Should Neymar - if the courts rule in the club's favor - be unable to pay, Barcelona has demanded that Paris-Saint Germain be made responsible for the completion of the payment.

Similarly, Hall took to this event like a duck to water as the Englishwoman marked her debut with an equally impressive victory. She became the USA's all-time leading points scorer with 19, overtaking the current team captain Juli Inkster's haul of 18 ½.

Barcelona are to sue Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar as he failed to honour the long-term contract that he signed past year. They also want an additional 10 per cent interest.

The Brazilian ace has netted three times from his opening two Ligue 1 games as PSG have enjoyed a goal-laden, flying start.

The lawsuit according to the club was submitted on 11 August to the Labour Tribunal in Barcelona. The club also claims that PSG subsidise the amounts in the event that the player can not take responsibility.

It was reported that Neymar's father - also his agent - held up the move to PSG beyond the end of July in order to trigger the payment, which had been inserted as part of his new deal. However, less than a year later the player made a decision to leave Barcelona by paying his release clause to move to the Ligue 1 side.

"For me, they are not the people who should be there, for the direction of Barca", said Neymar. "For me. ... Well, actually I have something to say: That I am disappointed with them".
