Girl Who Went Missing For A Month In Alabama Wilderness Found Alive

A auto driving on Highway 82 discovered 25-year-old Lisa Theris as she emerged from acres of dense woods in Alabama last weekend, a month after her disappearance, according to WSFA. "I don't think she could have made it much longer".

"She's not familiar with this area and apparently on the night she ran, she went into the woods at night and got lost", said Sheriff Rodgers.

A woman who said she ran into the woods to escape two men who were burglarizing a hunting lodge survived the Alabama wilderness alone for almost a month, surviving only on "berries and mushrooms", authorities said.

A 25-year-old woman who resides in Louisville, Alabama and had been missing for nearly a month has been found alive, according to the Bullock County Sheriff's Office.

"Finally the young lady has been found and she's alive", Sheriff Raymond Rodgers said.

"Words can not describe the happiness and relief we feel that she has been found and returned to us", Elizabeth Theris said.

Lisa Theris's father was last in contact with her on July 18.

By the time she was found, Theris had lost 22.6 kilograms and was covered in scratches (pictured) and bug bites.

"Words can not describe the happiness and relief we feel that she has been found and returned to us", Elizabeth Theris, her sister, said to WFSA. "We want to make sure her health is good so we got her.to the hospital".
