Taylor Swift in court over groping case

According to the Grammy-winning artist, Mueller slipped his hand under her dress and grabbed her bare buttocks as the two posed, along with Mueller's girlfriend, during a meet-and-greet session before a June 2013 concert in Denver.

He was sacked from his $150,000 job after being accused by Swift.

Mueller, 55, who was sacked from his United States $150,000-a-year job (more than Rs 98 lakhs) at radio station KYGO-FM over Swift's accusations, insisted that the case he brought against Swift was about more than just the loss of his livelihood and money.

Taylor's camp, however, said he "grabbed her rear end".

"I know my palm was facing down". "I know her cat's names, I know her birthday".

Borrowing a line from one of her songs, workers put up a sign in support of pop singer Taylor Swift in the window of an office building across the street from the federal courthouse in Denver.

Mueller's cross-examination will continue this morning, and the trial is expected to last nine days. Swift, her mother and attorneys are back in court today.

Mueller talked about how he and his girlfriend at the time, Shannon Melcher, had gone to the meet-and-greet for work as KYGO employees despite not being huge fans of Swift's-as numerous other people at the pre-concert event were.

In the image, shown to jurors during opening statements, Mueller's hand is behind Swift, just below her waist. Swift is due to give evidence later this week.

Taylor Swift expected to testify in groping case in Denver
This is a sexual assault trial , period, because it involves a woman's claim she was groped by someone else against her will. She is asking that attorney's fees and costs be paid for by Mueller along with compensatory damages to be proven at trial .

All are smiling, and Mr Mueller's right hand is hidden behind the Shake it Off singer.

The fashion plate: Swift looked demure, wearing a long-sleeved black shirtdress with plaid trim, sheer black tights, needle-thin heels and a red lip. Mueller also stated that Swift had been groped, but said that it was one of his former KYGO bosses who had been the one to inappropriately touch the singer and had bragged to Mueller about doing so (a claim that Mueller had also made in an earlier court document).

Mueller says the photo only shows him trying to jump into the frame. It cost me my income. "It's been hard on my family and hard on my friends", Mueller said.

"I accept that", Mueller says. He says he "didn't want to hurt" Swift when sliding his fist across her back. He is seeking at least $3 million. "Let's also be clear that falsely accusing someone.is equally wrong", Mueller's attorney, Gabriel McFarland, told the six women and two men on the jury. "His motivation is money, calling attention to himself, and getting revenge on his boss".

Mueller does not have a job in radio because he told 37 people about the accusations and because he hasn't applied for that many jobs, Baldridge said.

They were questioned specifically about their familiarity with either Swift or Mueller and whether they considered themselves to be fans of their work. However, Mueller admitted that several of his electronic devices broke and that unedited versions of those recordings had been lost.

He said Swift had been part of thousands of meet-and-greets, but had never had an incident like what happened with Mueller.

Eight jurors were selected Monday with Swift looking on in the courtroom, a court employee confirmed to AFP.
