American actor Tom Cruise appears to have suffered an injury while filming Mission: Impossible 6.

Robert Elswit, director of photography for 2015's "Rogue Nation", said Cruise will "figure out a way to do" any stunt himself.

According to Variety, Cruise did 64 takes of a stunt during the filming of a plane crash sequence in zero-gravity on the set of The Mummy.

The question that remains in many fans' minds regards why Cruise would risk injuring himself for the Mission: Impossible movies. "I want to keep audiences on the edge of their seats".

Cruise has yet to release a statement regarding the extent of his injuries but it doesn't seem to be serious.

Mission: Impossible 6, starring Cruise, Simon Pegg, Henry Cavill, Alec Baldwin and Michelle Monaghan, is slated to hit theaters July 27, 2018.
