Hillary Stands By Her 'Deplorables' Remark

Jonathan Allen and Amie Parnes

This week, Clinton is scheduled to appear on ABC's "The View" and the popular center-left podcast "Pod Save America", and she will attend a book signing in NY.

She said she made the decision as a former first lady to attend Trump's inauguration which felt like an "out-of-body experience", calling his speech a "cry from the white nationalist gut".

Sanders repeatedly attacked her as a representative of the political establishment, a message Trump echoed.

The interview concluded with Clinton saying the USA had a reality show that led to the election of a president.

"There were plenty of people hoping that I, too, would just disappear", Clinton writes.

On November 9, the morning of her concession speech, she put on a fearless face in public: for her campaign team, for her supporters, for the American public.

Clinton also told Pauley about election night and what she did when it became apparent she wasn't going to win.

Odisha is among the states high on the priority list of party chief Amit Shah for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. The JD (U) and the Shiv Sena skipped the swearing-in ceremony while Tamil Nadu's ruling AIADMK attended it.

'But I don't think it was determinative, ' Clinton argued.

She argued that her political situation was the "perfect storm" of obstacles, blaming sexism and misogyny, Russian hacking and the release of private internal Democratic party emails, and former FBI Director James Comey's investigation into her email practices.

Ms Clinton replied: "Millions of white people, yeah". Clinton said she had been "gobsmacked" by her loss, and talked about what she did afterward: "I went into a frenzy of closet-cleaning, long walks in the woods, playing with my dog, yoga, had my share of Chardonnay". But in the end, she admits that she made mistakes, including her use of the word "deplorables" to describe Trump supporters, and that "maybe I missed a few chances" during the campaign.

She continued,"I had not drafted a concession speech".

So tell us more about how Trump is so much different a president than Hillary Clinton would have been. What's more, she "doesn't buy" into the idea that she offended people who weren't already opposed to her candidacy. It was presented in such a negative way, and I never could get out from under it.

I thought his behavior as we saw on the Access Hollywood tape was deplorable. "It did not matter to them, and he turned out to be a very effective reality TV star". But there was one person who could help her cope: Bill.

However, Clinton added she was not finished with politics entirely because our "future is at stake".
