Kobach faces pushback on New Hampshire voter fraud comments

Hillary Clinton campaigns in New Hampshire

Thousands of same-day registrants, most from MA, illegally voted in the November 8 election in New Hampshire and tipped the state in Hillary Clinton's favor, voter integrity groups say, citing data released by New Hampshire officials. America has a long and storied history of voter fraud, and a long-standing concern over the issue.

Numerous presenters at the event represented organizations that claim to have documented extensive voter fraud, including the Judicial Watch Election Integrity Project, Simpatico Software Systems, the Heritage Foundation and the Crime Prevention Research Center.

Block, for his part, recently authored a report on people voting in more than one state for the Government Accountability Institute, an organization founded by Bannon, which relied on a consumer database to suggest that there were over 8,000 cases of duplicate voting in the last election.

A group in Kansas rallied to protest the panel's accusation of voter fraud. Trump won the presidency but he failed at winning the people. Indeed, the commission could use the data to create a national voter database for the first time in USA history, and it could be used to unlawfully purge voters with identical names and birth dates.

Rather than admit his obvious biases, Kobach carps that "the mainstream media has ignored the problem of voter fraud and belittled those of us who are trying to do something about it".

So the truth isn't out there? Anyone who fails to provide the necessary evidence may be fined and prosecuted for voter fraud.

"Non-citizens are registered. Non-citizens are voting".

This sentiment that facts were manipulated to keep Democrats from voting - and to make progressives look bad - was also reciprocated by State Senate Democratic Leader Jeff Woodburn.

In 2008, comedian Al Franken became a USA senator by a margin of just 312 votes. The proof was that they registered to vote using out-of-state IDs. In the U.S. Senate race, Democratic challenger Maggie Hassan defeated Republican incumbent Kelly Ayotte by 1,017 votes.

That's not an indictment of Al Franken.

Commissioner Dunlap slammed Kobach's claims as "reckless" at Tuesday's meeting.

One official administering the New Hampshire voting process recognized the system's failure to authenticate ballots. This is the law that requires that citizens be able to register to vote at Departments of Motor Vehicles. Why?

Voters who have no domicile documentation face different hurdles. Not surprisingly, Republicans think they know.

That's all very disturbing to people like Tammy Patrick, a former Arizona election official who served on another election commission, one appointed by President Obama.

"But it is legal in New Hampshire for you to have a MA driver's license, and have MA plates on your cars, and pay out-of-state tuition to the university, and still be eligible to vote because you are domiciled in New Hampshire, meaning you spend most of your nights here", he said.

The state's laws allow a persons to be domiciled in New Hampshire for voting purposes and still be a resident of another state for driver's licensing purposes.

Sweeney is a former state representative who was also an election clerk in Nashua for 26-years.

As the traditional host of the first-in-the-nation presidential primary, New Hampshire residents revel in the national political spotlight when voters head to the polls.

Ayotte lost to Hassan by just over 1,000 votes out of almost three-quarters of a million ballots cast.

Dunlap continued to fact-check Kobach, saying that accusing someone with an out-of-state ID of committing voter fraud is like accusing someone who has cash of robbing a bank.

The New Hampshire-Massachusetts border is a mere 40-minute drive for civic-minded progressives in Boston.

Don't be too quick to blame the Democrats, though - the same-day registration is a law passed by a Republican legislature and signed by a Republican governor. This isn't an investigation, it's a kangaroo court that has put our access to the ballot box on trial.
