One killed in Srinagar grenade blast, several injured

Srinagar Sep 7 Six persons were injured in a grenade blast here on Thursday including the man who who threw the explosive police said

One was killed and thirteen others including a traffic policeman were wounded when a militant exploded a hand grenade at Jehangir Chowk, a busy intersection of Srinagar, on Thursday evening.

The injured were rushed to SMHS hospital, where one of the critically injured persons succumbed to injuries. As per police, some miscreant tried to throw a grenade on the deployment but reportedly it exploded near their area.

Further details are awaited.

As per a report, the terrorists hurled a grenade at the police station however, the grenade failed to explode.
