Creed 2: Sylvester Stallone confirms he's directing

Sylvester Stallone

Taking to his Instagram account months after "Creed 2" was announced, Stallone confirmed he will take over directing duties from Ryan Coogler for the much-anticipated sequel. 2015's Creed was a masterful expansion of the world, introducing Michael B. Jordan's Adonis Creed (son of Apollo) and a new, more socially conscious outlook on what it means to be a modern underdog.

"Looking forward to directing and producing the incredibly talented Michael B. Jordan in Creed 2 next year", he captioned the photo of him and his Creed co-star at the film's premiere. "One more Round!" said Stallone.

There are no further details on Creed 2 presently, but we'll keep you posted as news trickles in.

Opec feels glow of slow-burning oil prices plan
By 4:40pm EST, WTI was trading down a bit after the data, at $50.38 with Brent Crude trading at $55.91. Total volume traded was about 21% below the 100-day average.

Speculation has already begun on the fate of Stallone's character "Rocky Balboa" who was suffering from cancer in the last installment.

The film was slated for a 2017 release, however, Coogler and Jordan's commitments to "Black Panther" pushed it to a yet unannounced date.

Creed 2 is now expected in theaters sometime during 2019. It's a delightful throwback to the early days of the franchise, which features six core Rocky films written by Sly, who also directed four of them.
