OJ Simpson released from prison after nine years

O.J. Simpson will soon be heading home but where is home going to

OJ Simpson will live in Florida after he is released on parole from a Nevada prison where he has been held for the past nine years for a robbery conviction, said his lawyer.

Simpson had been sentenced to prison after being found guilty of armed robbery and assault with a deadly, in addition to 10 other changes back in 2007.

In July he was granted parole due to good behavior and other credits earned in custody. "Our biggest concern was our safety and the public's safety and not wanting anybody, paparazzi, to follow him", Keast added.

In a Facebook post, Nevada Department of Corrections released an image and video of Simpson signing documents and leaving Lovelock Correctional Centre early on Sunday. Two years later, he was found liable for their wrongful deaths in civil court, and according to Biography.com, ordered to pay a whopping $33.5 million in damages.

Keast said that releasing Simpson from Lovelock at the dead of night was necessary in order to avoid media attention.

It's important to note that Florida officials say Simpson hasn't filed a transfer request with the Sunshine State.

Simpson's attorney, Malcolm LaVergne, told ABC News on Friday that upon his release, Simpson wants to go to Florida, where he can "see his family and hug his family on the outside of prison".

Roku IPO Priced at $14, Values Firm at $1.3B
The stock, which trades under the ticker " ROKU ", debuted on the Nasdaq, and soared as much as 30% above its IPO price initially. Roku revenue comes from the sale of Roku TV streaming devices, from advertising and subscription revenue.

Simpson, 70, served nearly nine years behind bars for a 2007 armed robbery, in which he and several accomplices broke into a Las Vegas hotel room to steal pieces of memorabilia from two men.

"The specter of [Simpson] residing in comfort in Florida should not be an option", Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi said in a statement.

Bondi ended her letter saying the state "should not become a country club for this convicted criminal". The former National Football League running back is scheduled to be released Sunday.

Kim Goldman said on "GMA", when Simpson is released, "We're going to go back to doing what we've done".

The 70-year-old former USC and Buffalo Bills football star left the Lovelock Correctional Center northeast of Reno at 12:08 a.m.

At his parole hearing in July, Simpsons said, "All I want is my property".

Tom Scotto, a Simpson friend who lives in Florida, told AP by text message that he was with Simpson after his release.
